My thoughts on creating a logo:
I am not exactly the most creative when trying to produce
something from nothing. I have the ability to reproduce something that I see,
but I cannot create something, so when creating my logo, I used things that
mattered to me. I used my engagement ring as the outline of the softball in my
logo, and the heart with mommy in the middle is for my two boys. I played
softball for about seventeen years, so it is pretty important to me. I used my
engagement ring to show that being engaged to a wonderful man and father of my
two boys encircles my whole life. The “tattoo” of ‘mommy’ is for the two most
important people in my life; my boys, which is why it is front and foremost in
my logo. I really did not discover anything in making my logo except for the
fact that I cannot create things about myself.
The videos I watched for creating this did
not really help. They are more of recreations and redesigning, not really
creating from nothing.
